OTTAWA LAKE — Madison overcame a nine-point halftime deficit Tuesday to hand Whiteford its second Tri-County Conference loss of the season, 58-46.
The Bobcats scored 30 points in the first half, but only 16 in the second in falling to 9-5 overall and 7-2 in the TCC. Madison is 7-7 and 7-3 in the league.
Whiteford’s Baylee Baldwin made four 3-pointers on the night, giving her 72 for her career, breaking the previous career record of 70 held by Emily Ritzenthaler. Baldwin, a junior, was the only Bobcat in double figures Tuesday with 20 points.
Whiteford has two games left this week, at Whitmore Lake on Friday and at Morenci on Saturday in a make-up game. Morenci is alone at the top of the TCC standings with a 9-0 league record.
