Whiteford’s girls basketball team will look to put the finishing touches on a second-place finish in the Tri-County Conference tonight while the Bobcat boys will look to extend the team’s longest winning streak since 2003.
The Bobcat girls will be on the road at Sand Creek. Morenci finished the league season 13-1 while Madison is 11-3. Whiteford is 10-3 in conference play entering tonight’s game and 12-6 overall. Sand Creek is 4-15 overall and 3-10 in TCC.
After tonight, the Bobcat girls will enter the state tournament with a game at Britton on Monday.
Whiteford’s boys (15-2, 12-0) will play at Britton Deerfield (7-11, 5-8), the same team they will play in the opening game of the Class C District on Monday, March 5.
