A date in the district finals is on the line tonight when the Whiteford Bobcats face backyard rival Summerfield in the Class C boys basketball game at Blissfield High School.
The Bobcats are 17-2 and have won 14 straight games, the longest winning streak for the Bobcats since 2003. Summerfield is 15-4 with half of its losses coming to Whiteford.
The game is scheduled as a 7:30 p.m. start.
In the first game tonight in the Class C District at Blissfield, Erie Mason (11-9) takes on Monroe St. Mary Catholic Central (20-0). The game is scheduled to start at 6 p.m.
SMCC was ranked No. 1 in the final Associated Press poll of the season while the Bobcats were ranked No. 7.
