Whiteford’s baseball team dropped a pair of non-league games to Monroe St. Mary Catholic Central Friday and fell to 19-6 on the season.
SMCC won the first game 3-0 and the second 6-1.
In the opener, Thomas Eitniear had two hits with Austin Wynn and Hunter Lake getting one each. Andrew Toda gave up three earned runs and suffered his first loss of the season on the mound.
In game 2, Whiteford got an RBI double from Antonio DiTerlizzi, who scored Eitniear, who singled. Nathan Bauman also had a hit in the game.
Nolan Adams started and went four innings, giving up five earned runs and eight hits. Bauman finished up, allowing one hit in two innings and striking out two.
The Bobcats will play at Adrian College on Tuesday when it faces Sand Creek to finish a league game started earlier this year. The Bobcats lead 5-0 with a runner on third in the top of the fifth. Adams is pitching for Whiteford. With a victory, Whiteford can wrap up the outright TCC title.
