Baylee Baldwin, Karsyn Berns-Moore and Lindsey Walker made the Michigan High School Softball Coaches Association Division 4 First Team All-State softball team announced this week.
Walker finished the season with a 23-12 record on the mound, striking out 225 batters in 219 innings. She allowed 83 earned runs for an ERA of 2.65. At the plate, she led the Bobcats in batting average (.513), hits (58), doubles (14), home runs (8) and RBIs (52).
Baldwin hit .463 with 56 hits in 121 at-bats while scoring 49 runs and striking out only three times all season.
Berns-Moore hit .435 with 40 runs, 14 steals and seven triples.
Madison Durden, who hit .397 with 30 RBIs, earned honorable mention All-State honors.
Nine Tri-County Conference players – including four from Clinton and two from Morenci – were named 2018 All-State softball.
The trio led the Bobcats to the state quarterfinals.
