Softball team sweeps Bedford in non-league doubleheader

TEMPERANCE — The Whiteford Bobcats improved to 7-1 on the season Friday with a non-league doubleheader sweep of Bedford.

The Bobcats won game one by a 8-4 count, then topped the Mules 10-4 in the second game.

Lindsey Walker got the win in the opener, striking out five and allowing nine hits. Berlynn Keller was the winner in the second game, striking out nine and giving up eight hits.

Walker had a big day at the plate, collecting two singles, a double, triple and blasted a two-run home run while batting in seven runs. Jessica Link had four hits and two RBIs on the day, Milly Iott had three singles and a double and three RBIs and Karsyn Berns-Moore drew two walks, hit for two singles and a triple, scored three runs and had two RBI.

The Bobcats are 7-1.
