Bobcat softball team sweeps Bulldogs, stay unbeaten in TCC

OTTAWA LAKE – Whiteford’s softball team improved to 6-0 in the TCC by sweeping Summerfield Wednesday, 14-3 and 17-2.

Milly Iott, Karsyn Berns-Moore and Sophia Dauterman each had two hits for the Bobcats in the opening win. Iott had two RBIs. Lindsey Walker allowed five hits and two earned runs while striking out 13 Bulldog hitters.

The second game went four innings. Walker was the starter and winner in the circle, going two innings. Berlynn Keller pitched the final two innings.

Walker hit a double and a grand slam. Berns-Moore had two singles and scored twice and Keller had a single, triple, scored twice and had two RBIs. Katie Lipp had three runs-batted in on a single and double.

Whiteford is 11-1 overall.
