State-ranked Bulldogs sweep Whiteford in TCC baseball DH

OTTAWA LAKE – Whiteford dropped a doubleheader to state-ranked Summerfield Wednesday and, in doing so, fell out of first place in the Tri-County Conference.

The Bulldogs won by scores of 12-0 and 6-1.

In the opener, the Bobcats managed three hits off Summerfield starter Brock Olmstead. Nathan Bauman, Eric Parriett and Levi Hillard had the Bobcat hits. Bauman started on the mound, going 4.1 innings, striking out four and giving up six hits and five earned runs.

The Bobcats had four hits in the second game, three by Bryce Wing and the other by Cole Geisige.

Ty Eitniear was the Bobcat starter, going 3.1 innings, allowing two hits and two earned runs. Cole Crouch went two innings and Geisige closed out the game.

The Bobcats are 4-6 overall.
