IDA – Nathan Bauman’s RBI single in the top of the sixth inning gave Whiteford a 5-4 lead and the Bobcats would hold on to beat Ida in the first game of a non-league doubleheader Tuesday.

Ty Eitniear got the win on the hill, allowing six hits and four runs over seven innings and striking out six.

Bryce Wing went 2-for-4 for Whiteford.

In the second game, Whiteford fell 7-1.

Eitinear and Wing managed Whiteford’s only hits of the game.

Whiteford is 10-21 on the season.
