OTTAWA LAKE — Whiteford’s varsity volleyball team opened the 2020-21 volleyball season Tuesday with a tough five-set loss to new TCC member Erie Mason.

“I’m just super thankful these young ladies were able to play a volleyball match,” said Whiteford coach Elizbeth Ruddy. “Playing a match is a victory to me.”

The Bobcats fell 20-25, 25-22, 25-23, 22-25, 13-15.

Senior Kyleigh Borowicz had 20 kills for Whiteford while Aly VanBrandt had 16 digs and Alaina Andrews compiled 37 assists.

The Bobcats are at Sand Creek Thursday for another TCC match.
