MADISON TOWNSHIP — Unity Nelson struck out 18 batters and allowed just two hits in the opening game Wednesday to help the Bobcats sweep Madison in a Tri-County Conference double header.
Whiteford won by scores of 7-1 and 5-2. The second game was shortened due to lightning in the area.
In the first game, Berlynn Keller and Aly VanBrandt had two hits apiece. VanBrandt scored three times and Keller had three RBI. Both hit triples.
In the second game, Keller got the win in the circle with Nelson closing out the game for the save. Patrina Marsh and Kaydence Sheldon had two hits each.
