ONSTED – Whiteford’s track and field team competed at the Onsted Wildcat Booster Invitational Friday and came away with some impressive hardware and personal bests.
Jacob Iott, Noah Bauman and the 4×400 relay team all finished second to lead the Bobcat boys.
Iott was second in the 400 with a personal best 56.07. Keegan Masters was fourth in the 1600 (5:08.48) and fourth in the 3200 (11:05.69).
The 4×100 relay team of Brody English, Stepan Masserant, Jack Emmenecker and Jack Andrews was third (49.08), the 4×200 team of English, Ty Ruddy, Masserant and Iott was third (1:41.61), the 4×400 relay team of Ruddy, Ryan Oberle, Andrews and Iott was second (3:51.30), Bauman was second in the discus (112-07) and Luke Murphy third in the high jump (5-03.00).
For the girls, Paige Thomas was second in the 200 (28.89) and 400 (1:04.71) while Annabelle Gapp was second in the 300 Hurdles (51.83) and third in the 1600 (6:05.14). The 4×400 relay team of Thomas, Madelyn Thomas, Aubrie Simmons and Annie Gapp was third.
