Bobcats win, tie against state-ranked Hudson baseball team

HUDSON – Whiteford beat state-ranked Hudson in the first game of a non-league double header Friday and tied the Tigers in the nightcap.

Whiteford won its 15th straight game by winning the opener, 10-5. The biggest inning was the third when Levi Hillard, Cole Crouch and Carter Ruehle all drove in runs in the inning.

Hillard, Shea Ruddy, Cole Giesige and Crouch all had multiple-hits in the game. Ruddy had two steals.

Giesige and Logan Tammerine had two hits apiece in the second game.

The Bobcats are 15-5-1 on the season heading into Monday’s non-league single game against Blissfield.

The Bobcats are at Morenci Wednesday.
