There was a shake up this week in the Detroit Free Press prep football rankings.
Sand Creek, who was forced to forfeit its Week 2 game with Blissfield, went into the week ranked No. 1 but slipped to No. 7. Whiteford, which beat Division 6 Ida and now has more playoff points than any Division 8 team in the state, is now No. 2, behind Hudson.
Summerfield is No. 5 in Division 8.
Former TCC member Clinton is No. 2 in Division 6. Other area teams ranked include Napoleon (No. 7 D6) and Addison (No. 3 D8) from the Cascades Conference.
Whiteford will play its third consecutive Division 6 team Friday when the Bobcats host 2-0 Madison.
The first Associated Press poll of the 2021 season will be released following Week 3.

Doug,
In your article you state that Ida is a division 8 team, but later state Whiteford will play their third consecutive division 6 team. Which is it?
