TOLEDO – Ava Hillard came off the bench for 14 digs and 10 aces as Whiteford came roaring back after dropping the first set to beat Toledo Emmanuel Christian 18-25, 25-17, 25-17, 25-5 Tuesday.
“It was a great win for us to gain some confidence going into league play on Thursday at Erie Mason,” Whiteford coach Janie Bunge said.
Other leaders for the Bobcats were Aly VanBrandt (20 digs, 4 aces), Kenzie Gray (9 kills), Allison Spradling (6 kills) and Alaina Andrews (20 assists).
