Bobcats lose to Summerfield despite 27 from Kohler

OTTAWA LAKE – Whiteford dropped its fourth straight game to start the 2021-22 season despite 27 points by Kinzie Kohler.

The Bobcats matched field goals with the Bulldogs with both teams making 20. However, Summerfield made 19 of 43 free throws compared to just 10 of 21 for the Bobcats.

Kohler was 9-for-15 from the free throw line in scoring her 27 points. Madelyn Thomas chipped in with 13 points, including two 3-pointers.

The Bobcats led 25-19 at halftime but were outscored by the Bulldogs 17-6 in the third quarter to surrender the lead.

The Bulldogs shot 43 field goals on the night.
