Whiteford senior Noah Bauman has been named the Monroe County Region 2021 Defensive Player of the Year after a third consecutive All-State season.

Bauman, who started every game from the time he was a freshman through the end of his senior season, is the first Whiteford player to win Defensive Player of the Year honors by The Monroe News.

Jason Mensing was the 2021 Monroe News All-Region Coach of the Year, the third time he has won the honor.
