Bobcats perform well at Whitmore Lake Relays

WHITMORE LAKE – Whiteford’s boys and girls track teams competed Saturday at the 24-team Whitmore Lake Invitational and had several outstanding performances.

Whiteford’s four boys relay teams all finished in the top seven, including the second-place 4×800 team of Ryan Oberle, Nick Oberle, Keegan Masters and Ty Ruddy.

Masters placed second in the 3200 and third in the 1600. Noah Bauman was fourth in the discuss and Kyle Gray fifth. Ryan Oberle was sixth in the 800. Ty Ruddy and Jacob Iott went 7-8 in the 400 and Kolby Masserant was eighth in the long jump.

The Bobcat girls were led by Kenzie Gray’s third-place finish in the discus.

The girls also got a fourth place in the 4×400 relay and fifth place in the 4×800 relay. Madelyn Thomas was sixth in the 400, Alaina McClain was sixth in the 800, Rylie DeSilvis was seventh in the long jump and Ali Bauman was seventh in the pole vault.

The Bobcat track and field teams will compete Friday in the Hinsdale Invitational at Sand Creek Friday.
