Bobcats on win streak after sweeping BD

Whiteford is 9-1 after sweeping a Tri-County Conference doubleheader from Britton Deerfield Wednesday.

Whiteford beat Britton Deerfield 9-1 in the opener.

Logan Tammerine had two doubles and four hits in five at-bats and two RBI. Shea Ruddy had two hits and two RBIs. Cole Giesige, Luke Rasor, Levi Hillard, Carter Ruehle added hits and Nate Stevens had two hits. Rasor also reached base on a walk and was twice hit by pitches.

Giesige went the distance on the mound, holding the Patriots to just three hits and one earned run. He struck out 12.

In game two, Giesige and Rasor had two hits each. Ryin Ruddy had a double and Giesige a triple. Shea Ruddy stole two bases.

Hillard got the victory, striking out 13 and allowing just one hit. Tammerine got the final out.

Whiteford has won nine straight, including a doubleheader sweep of Pittsford on Friday, 2-1 and 11-1. Luke Rasor had three hits on the day for the Bobcats. Cole Crouch and Tammerine picked up the pitching wins.
