A four-run fourth inning propelled the Whiteford Bobcats to a 7-2 win Friday over Hudson.
The Bobcats got a solid pitching performance from Cole Crouch, who went five innings against 16-win Hudson, striking out five an allowed just four hits and no earned runs. Logan Tammerine pitched the final six outs.
Tammerine also was a terror at the plate, hitting a home run and a single and driving in four runs. Shea Ruddy had three hits and Cooper Ruehle had two for the 17-4 Bobcats.
It was Senior Night for the Bobcats.

Prior to the game, Whiteford’s Cole Giesige was honored by the Michigan High School Coaches Association with the Class C Rich Tompkins Multi-Sport Athlete Award. He is pictured with his parents, Kim and Troy Giesige, and Larry Merx from the coaches association.
