ERIE β Whiteford closed the TCC season undefeated and outright league champions.
Whiteford swept Erie Mason Wednesday, 7-0 and 13-3.
The Bobcats scored all seven of their runs in the first three innings in Game 1. Logan Tammerine had two hits and two RBIs to lead the Bobcat offense. Cole Giesige, the winning pitcher, scored two runs and stole two bases. He allowed just two hits and struck out 11 in going the distance.
Whiteford jumped out to a six-run lead after the first inning and scored seven in the third.
Shea Ruddy went 4-for-4 in game two, scoring twice and having two RBIs. Tammerine also had a hit and two RBIs. Levi Hillard also had two RBIs. Cole Crouch went the distance on the hill and struck out five to pick up the win.
The Bobcats are 22-4 overall and 12-0 in the TCC.
