Bobcats beat White Pigeon to reach Division 8 semifinal

OTTAWA LAKE – Whiteford scored the first five times it had the ball on offense and used a big second quarter to beat White Pigeon, 38-26, and advance to the Division 8 semifinals.

Jake Iott rushed for 131 and two touchdowns and Bobcat quarterback Shea Ruddy scored twice as the Bobcat offense rolled up 311 yards rushing in the win. Hunter DeBarr rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown.

Iott and DeBarr both went over 1,000 yards for the season. Iott also set Whiteford’s single season record for tackles as he added 14 and now has 180 for the season.

The 12-0 Bobcats will play Clarkston Everest Collegiate next week in the semifinals at a site to be determined.
