TECUMSEH – Whiteford ran into an elite pitching performance Monday and lost to Tecumseh, 2-0.

Tecumseh’s Kennadi Fulton threw a 1-hit shutout to beat the Bobcats, striking out 12.

Peyton Welch pitched a gem for the Bobcats, striking out 10 and allowing just two hits and one walk. Bailey Spradling had the only Bobcat hit.

Both Fulton and Welch are sophomores.

Game two was rained out.

Whiteford is 10-3 will play Monroe St. Mary Catholic Central Thursday.
