DUNDEE – The Bobcats swept the Vikings in a non-league doubleheader Friday, 8-5 and 15-9.
Caden Schroyer got the win in the opener, going six innings and striking out five. At the plate he went 3-for-3 with two RBIs. Tre Eitniear pitched a scoreless seventh while collecting two hits – including a double – and scoring four runs. Luke Henegar had a hit and two RBIs.
In the second game, Whiteford slugged out 18 hits.
Schroyer had three hits, including two doubles and a triple, while scoring three times and driving in three runs.
Eitniear had two doubles and scored three runs. Jake Scott and Sam Miller had three hits each while Brody Masters and Zayne Emch had two hits as well.
Emch got the pitching win with four strikeouts in six innings.
Whiteford improved to 20-6.
