GIBRALTAR – Whiteford tuned up for Saturday’s Division 3 regional by going on the road to defeat Gibraltar Carlson 6-3 Tuesday.

The Bobcats had lost to Carlson 4-1 in early May.

Whiteford collected 11 hits off three Carlson pitchers. Addeson Cousino had three hits while Ally Griffith and Ava Stevens had two hits apiece.

Whiteford pitchers Macy Ovall and Peyton Welch scattered five Carlson hits.

The Bobcats improved to 21-11 heading into Saturday’s Regional in Wixom. Carlson is 21-11-1.
