CLINTON — Whiteford’s girls basketball team won’t win the Tri-County Conference this season, but the Bobcats are locked in a battle to finish second behind Morenci.
The Bobcats beat Clinton Tuesday 45-27 to improve to 9-3 in the league, tied with Madison for second place. BD is in fourth place at 8-4.
Baylee Baldwin scored 21 points while Madison Durden scored eight for Whiteford (11-6 overall).
The Bobcats host league champ Morenci on Thursday.
