Whiteford’s softball team needed extra innings in one game and just five in the other, but the result was two wins Thursday at Sand Creek.
In game one, Whiteford pushed across a run in the eighth inning, then held the Aggies scoreless in the bottom half of the eighth. Madison Durden had two singles and two RBI, Katie Lipp had two doubles and two RBI and Milly Iott had an RBI-double. Lindsey Walker was the winning pitcher, striking out eight.
In the second game, Walker allowed just two hits and struck out five over five innings in an 11-0 win.
Durden and Lipp each had two singles while Baylee Baldwin added and two RBI on a single and Karsyn Berns-Moore had a single and an RBI.
Whiteford is 5-2-1 overall and 4-0 in the TCC.
