OTTAWA LAKE – Whiteford slugged its way to a doubleheader softball sweep of Britton Deerfield Wednesday, beating the Patriots 16-1 in the first game and 17-2 in the second.
Sophia Dauterman had five singles, Madison Durden hit a home run and had six RBIs on the day while Karsyn Berns-Moore had two singles, a double, triple, two RBIs and scored five runs.
Lindsay Walker was the winning pitcher in game one and Berlynn Keller was the winner in the second game. Walker had five strikeouts and gave up just three hits in the first game. Keller allowed two hits while striking out six in the second.
The 9-1 Bobcats are 4-0 in the TCC.
