OTTAWA LAKE — Whiteford swept a doubleheader from Britton Deerfield Wednesday by not allowing a hit in two games.
Unity Nelson pitched a four-inning perfect game, striking out 9 of the 12 batters she faced in a 18-0 win in the second game. That followed a five-inning no-hitter by Berlynn Keller in the opener. Keller struck out 12.
BD was playing its first games of the season due to COVID-19.
In the first game, the Bobcats had multiple hits from Nelson, Keller, Karlei Conard, Alyssa Ulery and Aly VanBrandt. Allison Spradling and Shay Alexander had a couple of hits in the second game.
The Bobcats are 16-3 overall and 6-0 in the TCC.
