BRITTON – Whiteford slugged its way past Britton Deerfield 18-1 and 14-2, in a Tri-County Conference sweep Wednesday.
In the first game, Zayne Emch had three hits and two RBIs, Caden Schroyer hit a home run, scored four runs and had three RBIs, Sam Miller had three hits and drove in five runs and Tre Eitniear had two hits for the Bobcats.
Emch was the winning pitcher, striking out eight in four innings.
In game two, Whiteford had seven hits. Brody Masters, Eitniear, Schroyer and Luke Henegar had two RBIs apiece. Henegar had a triple while Austin Billau and Masters had doubles.
Austin Bauman was the winning pitcher, allowing two hits and striking out two in five innings.
